木村 マルセロ
1979年12月7日ブラジルサンパウロで生まれる。
ショーロ（ブラジルで初めてヨーロッパ音楽とアフリカ音楽を融合させたブラジル独自の音楽）のギタリスト
である祖父の影響で幼い頃からギターに慣れ親しむ。
まずクラシックギターをConservatorio Musical e Dramatico Dr. Carlos Campos – Tatui – SP
(ブラジル
のタトゥイにあるラテンアメリカ最大の演劇・音楽学校)で学び、ジャズギターをAry Piasarollo（Djavan,
Elis Regina, Gonzaguinha, Ricardo Silveiraなどの大物アーティストと共演経験のある有名ギタリスト）に
師事した。
１６歳の時からタトゥイにある音楽学校で教え始め、１９歳でいったん兵役のため退職、兵役後は個人レッ
スンやライブハウス、ラジオ・テレビ局などで演奏をするようになる。
ショーロ・サンバ・ボサノヴァは勿論、ロックやジャズも同等にこなし、それらをクロスオーバーさせた独自
のサウンドスタイルを展開。
2004年、音楽活動の拠点を日本へと移す。
来日後、名古屋・栄にある老舗のブラジリアン・ライブレストランUrbana LatinaでBanda Via Brasilのギタリ
スト／ベーシストとして１年間活躍し、現在は名古屋のジャズバー、ライブハウスを中心に活動中。
Born in 1979 December 7th Sao Paulo, Brasil, Marcelo grew up
listening to his grandfather who was a choro guitarist. (Choro literally
means "cry" in Portuguese, meaning
"lament", and is Brazilian popular
music instrumental style.) He learnt classic guitar at Conservatorio
Musical e Dramatico Dr. Carlos Campos - Tatui – Sao Paulo (the biggest
music and drama school in South America), and jazz guitar from Ary Piasarollo
who has played with great artists such as Djavan, Elis Regina, Gonzaguinha
and Ricardo Silveira. He started teaching in a music school at the age
of 16, stopped playing once at age of 19 because of the military service,
and after the service he started teaching privately and also playing for
radio & TV stations in Brasil.
He also
plays rock and jazz as well as music of his motherland such as samba, bossa nova
and choro.
Moved to
Japan in 2004, he played at Urbana Latina in Nagoya with Banda Via Brasil for a
year.
